Welcome to Funnel Club - a new kind of event for strategy minds who think deeply, speak boldly, and appreciate a well-poured drink. It’s part open mic night, part debate club, and part after-work wind-down - designed to bring Australia’s agency strategy community together for real conversation, fresh perspectives, and a break from the same old industry small talk. Each edition puts sharp questions on the table - from the trivial to the transformational. This time, the theme is "REALITY CHECK" - how brands win in the new world of fake. And we're asking: AI slop: Beat them or join them? Can humans out-algorithm an algorithm? Join us for the fourth instalment of Funnel Club Sydney where we go underground - literally - to debate how brands survive a world drowning in AI slop, fake influencers and enshittified content. Through two opposing battle plans, we'll tear apart the question nobody wants to answer out loud: do brands beat the race to the bottom, or join it? We can't promise you'll leave with a clean answer, but we can promise you'll leave with a sharper opinion. This is an event for agency strategists of all shapes and sizes, welcoming members old and new. Hosted by Kate O'Loughlin (Group Strategy Director at Wavemaker ANZ) and Craig Page (CEO & Founder at Tango & Cache + Strategists Anonymous), the discussion kicks off with bold takes and open debate - then opens up to the room. No panels. No egos. Just sharp minds and sharper opinions. After 30 minutes of sparring, the drinks start flowing. We’ll keep the lighting low, the energy up, and the conversation going.
