Buying art is rarely just about the object itself. We might buy because a work moves us, reminds us of something, reflects who we are, signals where we belong, or simply because we cannot stop thinking about it. For some, collecting is deeply emotional. For others, it can be about identity, cultural connection, status, or investment. In this conversation, we look beyond the transaction to explore what actually happens when we desire art . Marios Djamo Ngassam Berlin-based art advisor, collector and founder of Maison Marios, working closely with emerging artists and collectors to build meaningful relationships with contemporary art.
