About the artist: Guru Geeta Mahalik is a recipient of the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian honours, and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the country's top honour for the performing arts. She has performed Odissi across India and the world for over five decades and leads Geeta's Upasana, her school and ensemble in Delhi.
