Originally organized by Leeway Foundation. Join us for a Leeway Foundation Artist + Activist Screening at PhillyCAM on Friday, October 9th from 6-8:30pm. The screening will highlight a selection of work by Leeway Media Artist + Activist Residents since 2021. Come early to mingle and enjoy light refreshments; the screening starts at 6:30pm. FEATURING WORK FROM Anula Shetty + Norris Square Neighborhood Project Gabby Jackson + Care, Not Control Laura Deutch + Ella-Gabriel Mason + Jewish Voice for Peace Li Sumpter + Theatre in the X Michelle Angela Ortiz + Bella Vista Neighbors Association VENUE ACCESSIBILITY • Step-Free Entrance: The entrance is wheelchair accessible, ensuring that all visitors can enter the facility with ease. • Wide Doorways And Hallways: Designed to accommodate mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers, the spacious layout ensures ease of movement. • Accessible Restrooms: They have ADA-compliant restrooms equipped with grab bars and ample space for maneuverability. • Seating And Rest Areas: Comfortable seating is available throughout the facility for those who may need to take breaks during their visit. • Off-street parking is available in the Independence Lot (right across the street from PhillyCAM) The Media Artist + Activist Residency (MAR) provides grants of $25,000 to women, trans*, and gender nonconforming media artists working in close collaboration with social justice organizations in Greater Philadelphia to document, reframe, and/or amplify the issues and campaigns addressed by the organization.
