Originally organized by Climate Week India 2026. A guided biodiversity walk led by experts, offering participants an opportunity to explore the Aravalli Biodiversity Park’s rich ecological landscape, native flora and fauna, and conservation efforts. The event will begin with an educational guided walk through the Aravalli Biodiversity Park, offering participants an opportunity to explore the region’s unique biodiversity, native flora and fauna, ecological restoration efforts, and the critical role of urban ecosystems. Led by experts, the walk will encourage participants to understand the Aravallis not only as a natural landscape, but also as an important ecological asset for Delhi and the wider National Capital Region. Following the walk, participants will take part in an interactive discussion on “Beyond Planting Trees: What Does Meaningful Ecological Restoration Look Like?” and a "Treasure Hunt" game. The discussion will examine the importance of protecting and restoring native ecosystems, moving beyond tree-planting as a standalone climate solution, and understanding how biodiversity and healthy ecosystems contribute to climate resilience, water security, temperature regulation and urban well-being.
